What is kombucha?

What are the health benefits of drinking kombucha?
The live bacteria and yeast in kombucha can provide probiotic benefits that help improve gut health by promoting the growth of beneficial bacteria in the digestive tract, aiding in digestion and supporting the immune system. Kombucha is also rich in antioxidants, which help neutralise harmful free radicals in the body and reduce oxidative stress.
How often can I drink kombucha?
The optimal frequency of consuming kombucha depends on various factors such as individual health status, tolerance level, and personal preferences. As a general guideline, consume it with meals in smaller amounts first to aid digestion.
Is kombucha safe for everyone?
People with weakened immune systems, pregnant or breastfeeding women, and individuals with certain medical conditions should consult their healthcare provider before consuming kombucha.
How do I store my kombucha?
We recommend that you store your bottles upright in the fridge upon receiving them. Only open them at point of consumption to maintain the fizziness.
What is the shelf life of Châteaux kombucha?
We recommend that you consume your kombucha within 1 month. Due to the live bacteria and yeast in kombucha, leaving it unopened may allow for the fermentation process to continue, leading to a more tart drink. Always refer to the best before date on each bottle.
How do I serve kombucha?
Kombucha is best served chilled, over a cup of ice.

How do I subscribe?
Simply go to the product and click on Subscription button and select your desired interval period.
How often will my subscription arrive?
You can choose between 1, 2, 3, 4, 6 or 8-weekly intervals.
Do I have to pay upfront?
You are only charged 1 day before each delivery.
Can I change the frequency of my deliveries?
Yes, you can change the frequency anytime or even skip a delivery.
I would like an extra set for my upcoming delivery, is it possible?
Yes, you can adjust the quantity for an upcoming delivery anytime!
Can I customise the flavours?
Yes, simply choose within the flavours of your subscription set.
Can I swap between the different kombucha sets?
Yes, you can swap between the kombucha sets anytime. Price differences may apply.
How much is the delivery charge?
Subscribers pay $4.90 instead of $5.90 for orders below $50. Delivery charge is waived for orders above $50.
Can I send to different addresses each time?
Yes, you can! Simply inform us or change the shipping address by logging into your account.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Cancel your subscription online or simply contact us.
Delivery FAQs
When do you deliver?
We deliver every Tuesdays and Fridays unless otherwise stated on our Home Page.
What is the delivery fee?
The standard delivery charge is $5.90. The charge is waived for orders above $60.
How can I recycle my bottles?
You can return used bottles to us for recycling. Please help to rinse them before handing them over to our delivery team during your next delivery.
Is there international shipping?
No, we currently do not ship internationally. Shipping is limited to Singapore.

How should I store the kombucha?
They should be refrigerated under 4C in an upright position within 48 hours of receiving them.
DO NOT shake the bottle before opening and DO NOT open a room temperature bottle of Châteaux kombucha.
How should Châteaux kombucha be consumed?
Châteaux kombucha should be consumed well-chilled. Drink it neat or on the rocks or even straight out of the chilled bottle!
What is the jelly floating in the kombucha?
As kombucha is a living tea, the living cultures in it continue to grow. So you may occasionally find jelly-like substance in your kombucha. This is the condensed form of probiotic cultures which is rich in probiotics and safe for consumption. If you do not like the texture, simply sieve it out before drinking.
What is the cloudy stuff at the bottom?
It’s called “the mother,” and it contains raw enzymes and gut-friendly bacteria. You can give the bottle a gentle swirl to mix it up before you drink. Alternatively, if you prefer not to consume it, you can let it settle before you pour. Do not shake before pouring!
Is there alcohol in kombucha?
It is known that certain traces of alcohol may exist in kombucha just like in many fermented foods, ripe fruits, fruit juices, kimchi and soy sauce!
Who should avoid kombucha?
As a safety precaution, we advise children below the age of 5, pregnant women and people with compromised immunity system to consume kombucha only after consulting with a health practitioner.
