Founded in 2020, Châteaux is a small-batch artisanal kombucha brand devoted to crafting refined, well-balanced brews using fine teas and real ingredients.
We offer a full range of premium kombucha products—from our signature bottled brews and seasonal small-batch flavours to on-tap kombucha for events. Beyond the bottle, we provide custom brewing services, brand collaborations, and fermentation-based workshops, all with an artisanal, intentional approach that celebrates craft, community, and conscious living. Our flagship retail store/ bistro opened in 2024 in Rowell Road. Our microbrewery in Mandai opened in 2025 to support our distribution channel into restaurants and cafes.
The Role
We’re looking for a hands-on, detail-oriented Brewery Assistant to join our budding production team. This role is ideal for someone who’s interested about fermentation, loves working with their hands, and isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves in an production environment. You’ll play an essential role in supporting day-to-day brewing operations, maintaining quality standards, and helping us bring Châteaux’s signature kombucha to more people.
Key Responsibilities

Assist in all aspects of kombucha production, including brewing, bottling, flavouring, and fermenting

Clean and sanitise equipment, vessels, and workspaces according to strict hygiene protocols

Maintain accurate production records and logs

Help monitor fermentation progress and support quality control checks

Manage stock of raw ingredients and packaging supplies

Support R&D batches and taste testing (palate welcomed!)

Pack and label bottles with precision and care

Assist with packing, delivery coordination, or market events when needed

Reliable and consistent – able to follow processes and uphold quality standards

Organised and clean – understands that cleanliness is key in fermentation

Physically capable – comfortable lifting 15-20kg, standing for long periods

Curious and collaborative – excited to learn, ask questions, and work as a team

Passionate about real food and fermentation – especially kombucha and craft beverages

Previous experience in F&B production, brewing, or fermentation

How should I store the kombucha?
They should be refrigerated under 4C in an upright position within 48 hours of receiving them.
DO NOT shake the bottle before opening and DO NOT open a room temperature bottle of Châteaux kombucha.
How should Châteaux kombucha be consumed?
Châteaux kombucha should be consumed well-chilled. Drink it neat or on the rocks or even straight out of the chilled bottle!
How much kombucha can I consume a day?
We recommend that you start with 150ml if you have never tried kombucha before to see how your body reacts to it.
Once your body is adjusted to it, it is safe to consume up to 2 bottles of 330ml kombucha per day.
What is the jelly-like thing floating in the bottle?
As kombucha is a living tea, the living cultures in it continue to grow. So you may occasionally find jelly-like substance in your kombucha. This is the condensed form of probiotic cultures which is rich in probiotics and safe for consumption. If you do not like the texture, simply sieve it out before drinking.
What is the cloudy stuff at the bottom of the bottle?
It’s called “the mother,” and it contains raw enzymes and gut-friendly bacteria. You can give the bottle a gentle swirl to mix it up before you drink. Alternatively, if you prefer not to consume it, you can let it settle before you pour. Do not shake before pouring!
Is there alcohol in kombucha?
It is known that certain traces of alcohol may exist in kombucha just like in many fermented foods, ripe fruits, fruit juices, kimchi and soy sauce!
Who should avoid kombucha?
As a safety precaution, we advise children below the age of 5, pregnant women and people with compromised immunity system to consume kombucha only after consulting with a health practitioner.
